Experience and Training

For over 35 years, Cy Chapman has worked on foreign cars. He worked with his uncle, Don Chapman at his garage for years. Cy went from there to RBM of Atlanta, The South's largest Mercedes dealership, where he received his training on Mercedes Benz. Cy opened Auto Benz in 1990 and has been actively working on the cars and continuing his training in diagnostics and repair.

Cy Chapman is a native Atlantan and a life long resident of Cobb County Georgia. He and his wife, Cathy, have two children, Miranda and Rus, who are both working at Auto Benz. Cy and Cathy enjoy gardening, woodworking, and antiquing. Cy has been a volunteer youth coach in baseball and basketball.

He has always loved automobiles and has been fascinated with how they are engineered. After 25 years of specialization in Mercedes Benz, he believes strongly that they are the finest automobiles in the world

Cy's love for antiques is reflected in his love for the older "classic" Mercedes. He works several restorations of the older cars into his busy schedule each year. For more information see our Restoration section.
